Brock University’s Residence Office accommodates 2,500 students in 7 different residence buildings featuring traditional, semi-suite and townhouse style buildings. Residence is guaranteed to incoming Year 1 full-time students who are coming from high school or from out of province provided we receive the residence application and application fee no later than the advertised deadlines. We also guarantee residence to students transferring from a post-secondary institution, who meet the certain conditions. Traditional style residence consists of single or double rooms with communal washrooms and mandatory meal plans. Semi-suite style residences consist of single or double rooms with semi-private washrooms and mandatory meal plans. Traditional and semi-suite residences have common lounges and common study rooms.Townhouse style buildings include 3- bedrooms, a shared washroom, communal kitchen and shared living spaces. Meal plans are not mandatory but can be purchased if desired. Amenities for all residences include:
- Access to a 24/7 front desk
- Maintenance
- Laundry facilities
- High speed wireless internet
- Local telephone services in shared lounges or living rooms
Meal plans are an additional mandatory cost and several different plans are available. Meal plans operate using meal plan and "flex dollars", and any unused dollars at the end of first year will carry over into upper years.
Brock University offers a wide variety of barrier-free rooms and can accommodate special requests if they are noted on the online residence application form when applying. Students who indicate that they require special accommodations will be asked to submit appropriate documentation to the university. Students with mobility issues may have a one on one consultation with the Department of Residences to ensure that all needs are addressed and any modifications required can be completed prior to residence move-in day. The Department of Residences uses March of Dimes for attendant care needs.
