The University of Guelph's accessibility services for students is called Student Accessibility Services (SAS). Student Accessibility Services functions to ensure all students with disabilities have full and equitable access to academic life. The University of Guelph Student Accessibility Services offers various transition supports to help students with the transition to university life as a student with a disability. Students will have an opportunity to meet their SAS Advisor and other SAS staff, and find out what services and accommodations are available and how to access them.
Students attending the University of Guelph-Humber access accommodation services through Humber Polytechnic and should refer to Humber's Accessibility Learning Services for further information regarding available resources.
The University of Guelph offers several orientation events for incoming students. These events may include START Accessible (an in-person orientation providing new SAS students the opportunity to learn how to access their accommodations and build connections with their advisor and other students), an Orientation Week Workshop (an informal presentation followed by a Q&A), and a session meant for parents and supporters of students registering with SAS.
Students attending the University of Guelph-Humber can attend the Transitions to Success program offered by Humber Polytechnic.
The Library Accessibility Services (LAS) offers a range of services, software, and technology that enable students with registered with Student Accessibility Services to read, write and research more effectively.
Registered students will access and manage their accommodations through the SAS Student Portal. This online platform allows students to request accommodations in their courses, book or modify Exam Centre bookings, access the SAS Notetaking Portal, submit documentation, and view their Accommodation Letter or Verification of Registration and Accommodations.

The University of Guelph’s Student Housing Services offers traditional, suite-style and townhouse-style accommodations. Traditional residences have single, double and triple rooms on co-ed and single gender floors. Suite-style accommodations consist of 2 private rooms with a shared washroom and kitchenette. Townhouse-style residence accommodates 4-6 people with a shared bathroom, common area and kitchen.

All rooms include high speed internet. Traditional style rooms feature a telephone and local phone service. Residence rates vary depending on room and building selection. Meal plans are a mandatory additional cost and operate on a declining balance system or a meal based system.
Students who require accommodations in residence can apply for special consideration. Students must complete and submit the Special Consideration Form along with their residence application by the given deadline.
